Description of the CC type elevator bucket
The CC-type elevator bucket is designed based on the traditional CC bucket style, offering a high-strength, high-efficiency solution for bucket elevator systems in agricultural applications. It can be used as a direct replacement for Tapco CC series buckets in many applications.
Design advantages
The unique side structure of the CC-type bucket improves material filling efficiency compared to standard deep-bottom buckets. This design increases bucket capacity and allows for closer installation spacing, contributing to improved overall conveying efficiency.
Applications
CC-type elevator buckets are widely used in agricultural material handling systems, including:
- Grain transport
- Feed processing
- Seed management
- Fertilizer transport
- Transport of chemicals and bulk materials
Material options
Different materials are available to adapt to various working conditions:
HDPE buckets
HDPE CC-type buckets are suitable for general agricultural applications, including grains, feed, seeds, chemicals, sand, salts, and fertilizers. They offer good performance for free-flowing materials.
Nylon Buckets
Nylon CC-type buckets offer greater mechanical strength and better wear resistance, making them suitable for more demanding applications such as transporting grains, soybeans, chemicals, sand, and fertilizers under severe working conditions.
PU (polyurethane) buckets
CC-type buckets made of PU (polyurethane) are ideal for handling abrasive and demanding materials, including pelleted feed, high-fat feed, and materials based on molasses, soybeans, rice, and barley. They are especially suitable for harsh working environments.
Usage recommendations
- Suitable for high-speed centrifugal discharge and lifting of lightweight bulk materials
- Dimensions A, B, and C shown in the table correspond to HDPE buckets. Due to differences in shrinkage, Nylon and PU buckets show an approximate increase of 2%.
- It is recommended to use (Z–Y) +5% as the useful capacity for engineering design

CC buckets are typically mounted on elevator belts using elevator bolts and washers. Proper alignment and spacing are critical to ensure smooth operation and reduce wear.
What is the lifespan of a CC elevator bucket?
The service life depends on the material being conveyed, the operating speed, the temperature, and the wear conditions. Proper material selection and installation can significantly extend the bucket’s service life.
